Karen Mooney (sometimes known by her moniker "moongerm") is a Chicago-based artist.
While she explores various avenues of self expression and creativity, she is most recognized for her illustration work and involvement in the Chicago music scene.
She draws inspiration from her favorite anime, movies, and video games and often combines these influences with her own memories, complex experiences, and traumas to create works of art.
Aside from her illustration work, she enjoys sleeping, building gundams, and petting nearby cats and dogs.
